These are additional/special items that I would love to have donated to our classroom!!
$5 iTunes gift cards: We have access to at least two mini iPads for our classroom. I have a few free apps on it, but would like to increase the amount of quality, educational games for the students. Both my homeroom and math classes will have access to technology.
Books: Our goal is to have 1,000 books in our library! Students need to have a variety of genres and levels to choose from. Students are expected to be able to sit and read for 30 minutes, independently, by the end of the year. The more resources they have to choose from, the more successful they will be. We have many different categories of books in our classroom. We have fiction, nonfiction, magazines, buddy reading, easy readers, chapter books, picture books...if you can add to the list, it would be greatly appreciated!
Favorite book series:
Henry & Mudge
Fly Guy
The Magic Tree House
Flat Stanley
Ready, Freddy
Junie B Jones
Frog and Toad
National Geographic Readers
Scholastic Readers
Black Lagoon Adventures
Card Stock: I love to find fun and engaging activities to use in the classroom! Most of these are games that need to be printed on card stock and laminated. I go through PACKS and PACKS of card stock each year! I mostly use white but will also use different colors, depending on it's purpose. You can find packs of card stock at Staples and Michaels. Michaels always has coupons that you can bring into the store and get up to 40% off an item!
Ink cartridges: As you just read, I print A LOT of stuff. 90% of the time, I use my personal printer, at home. It's a color printer and I can use card stock in it...this makes me happy;). Needless to say, the more card stock I use, the more I print at home, the more ink I use. I would GREATLY appreciate ink donations.
Make & Model of printer: Epson WP-4530
Black ink: 676 XL
Magenta ink: 676 XL
Yellow ink: 676 XL
Cyan ink: 676 XL
Dry erase markers: These are on the volunteer donation list and believe you-me, we NEED them! However, we ONLY USE BLACK DRY ERASE MARKERS in class. The color dry erase markers are so much FUN but they stain our dry erase boards...bummer:(
Books on CD: Scholastic offers books with CD's. I would love to expand my listening library! The more books and CD's we have the more opportunities students will have to expand their vocabulary and listening skills.
